Some VG.Poker freerolls are private: the tournament shows in the lobby, but when you tap register, the app asks for a password. If you have never joined a password-protected freeroll, the natural move is to search “VG.Poker freeroll password today” — and the answer is simpler than most sites make it look.
The password is never published in advance on any website. VG.Poker releases it themselves on the official Telegram channels, shortly before each tournament starts. This guide explains exactly how the release works and how to use the password at the right moment.
How the password release works
VG.Poker announces and sends the password directly through its official Telegram channels, in two stages:
- Early warning: about 90 minutes before the tournament, the channel posts a countdown (“Free Tournament Countdown”) with the start time in UTC and a note that the password will be shared 15 minutes before.
- Password drop: about 15 minutes before the start, the password is posted in the official channel and group. Anyone with Telegram open receives it instantly.
So there is no “yesterday’s password” or “universal password” — each tournament has its own, valid only for that edition. Sites promising passwords in advance are outdated or guessing; the reliable source is always the official Telegram.
Where to follow: official Telegram channels
VG.Poker does not run a separate India-only players group. Indian players should follow the global English channel @VGPoker_en and, most importantly, the dedicated Freeroll Passwords channel, where the codes are posted daily (8:00). The full directory of official channels sits in the hub @VGPokerSocials:
| Channel | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Freeroll Passwords | Dedicated password channel — codes posted daily (8:00) |
| @VGPoker_en | Global players channel (English) |
| @VGPoker_br | Brazil |
| @VGPokerSocials | Hub with all official channels |
Join both channels and turn on notifications — the password window before each tournament is short (15 minutes), and players who get the notification in time register with room to spare.
How to use the password in the app
- Open Telegram and wait for the password to drop (or copy it when the countdown post announces it).
- Open the VG.Poker app and go to Club > Fast Join.
- Paste or type the password exactly as it was posted.
- Confirm your registration before the start — registering early secures your seat.
Keep in mind the password is case-sensitive. If typing it manually does not work, copy and paste it straight from Telegram.
When is today’s freeroll?
The schedule is fixed: four daily freerolls plus weekend Grand Freerolls. The full table in IST is on our VG.Poker freeroll schedule page. Check the time first, sit in the Telegram channel, and wait for the password — in that order.
Frequently asked questions
Does one password work for every freeroll?
No. Each private tournament has its own password, valid only for that edition. Open freerolls do not ask for a password at all — they appear straight in the lobby.
I typed the password and it did not work. Now what?
Three common causes: a typing mistake (copy and paste from Telegram), the tournament already started and registration closed, or you tried a password from a different edition. Check the time on the schedule page and wait for the next drop in the official channel.
Do I need to pay anything to play?
No. A freeroll has a $0 buy-in — the password only controls access. Prizes are real and paid to the top finishers. If you are building a bankroll from scratch, our bankroll management guide covers what to do after you cash.
Is the password used in the app or the Telegram bot?
The official way in is through the app, at Club > Fast Join. Telegram is used for announcements, countdowns and the password drop — not for playing.
