Four free poker tournaments run every day on VG.Poker at fixed times. Below is the full schedule in Indian Standard Time (IST) with UTC for reference — so you always know when the next freeroll starts.
If you are new to Texas Hold’em, read our Texas Hold’em rules guide first, and keep poker hand rankings open for reference.
Daily Freeroll Schedule
| Tournament (IST) | UTC | Prize | When |
|---|---|---|---|
| New Delhi Freeroll — 9:00 AM | 03:30 UTC | $20 | Daily |
| Berlin Freeroll — 3:30 PM | 10:00 UTC | $20 | Daily |
| Rio Freeroll — 9:30 PM | 16:00 UTC | $20 | Daily |
| Manhattan Freeroll — 3:30 AM (next day) | 22:00 UTC | $20 | Daily |
Each freeroll runs for several hours after the listed start. Late registration is available until a specified blind level — check the Tournament Details page in the app if you missed the opening.
Field sizes vary: most daily freerolls see 4–60+ entries, while larger events have historically drawn 260–420 players. Entry is free (buy-in $0) and prizes are awarded to the top finishers.
Saturday VIP Grand Freeroll
Once a week a larger freeroll runs with a bigger prize pool for eligible players:
| Tournament (IST) | UTC | Prize | Condition |
|---|---|---|---|
| Saturday Grand Freeroll — 7:30 PM | Saturday 14:00 UTC | $100 | VIP Level 1 required |
Entry remains free. If you hold at least VIP Level 1 on the platform, this event is part of your weekly schedule.
Weekly Paid Tournaments (MTT)
Every Wednesday and Friday, VG.Poker hosts two guaranteed (GTD) multi-table tournaments with a fixed buy-in:
| Tournament (IST) | UTC | Buy-in | Prize Pool | Format |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| VG Midweek MTT — 8:30 PM | Wednesday 15:00 UTC | $10 | $1,777 GTD | NLH |
| VG Friday High Roller MTT — 8:30 PM | Friday 15:00 UTC | $50 | $7,777 GTD | NLH |
These are paid events with a real buy-in — they are not freerolls. Always verify the buy-in amount in the app lobby before registering.
If you are new to paid tournaments, a natural way to start is to play the free daily freerolls first. Building a bankroll through freerolls lets you get comfortable with the tournament rhythm and structure before committing a buy-in.
How to Join
- Open the VG.Poker app and go to the Tournament tab.
- To see free events, filter by MTT → Freeroll. Browse the full list for paid tournaments.
- Tap any tournament to view its structure sheet — blind levels, late registration cutoff, minimum player requirement, and payout breakdown.
- Register before the start time.
If a tournament requires a minimum number of players (e.g. “Full 25 people”) and the field is not yet full, the start may be delayed. Check the lobby for the live player count.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are there free poker tournaments every day?
Yes. Four freerolls run daily in IST — morning, afternoon, evening and late night — plus the Saturday Grand Freeroll with a larger prize.
Do I have to pay to enter?
The four daily freerolls and the Saturday Grand Freeroll are free (buy-in $0). The Wednesday Midweek MTT ($10 buy-in) and Friday High Roller MTT ($50 buy-in) are paid events — they are clearly marked in the schedule above.
Can the tournament times change?
The schedule above is fixed. India does not observe daylight saving time and the platform operates on UTC year-round, so there is no seasonal shift. However, the platform may adjust times on occasion — always confirm in the app lobby before entering.
Where do I find the tournament password?
Passwords for private tournaments are shared in the official VG.Poker Telegram channel — typically about 15 minutes before the start. Our freeroll password guide covers the full release mechanism and how to join via Club > Fast Join.
Why has a tournament not started at the listed time?
Freerolls may be delayed if the minimum player count has not been reached. Check the Tournament Details page in the app for the “minimum players” rule and the current lobby status.
Last verified: October 23, 2026, in the VG.Poker app. Times may be adjusted by the platform — confirm in the app lobby.
